The strive for happiness; we all have it but are we all doing something about it?

The strive for happiness; we all have it but are we all doing something about it?

I asked Google what is the definition of happiness and I rather liked what I read; "Pleasure, joy, exhilaration, bliss, contentedness, delight, enjoyment, satisfaction..imply an active or passive state of pleasure or pleasurable satisfaction. Happiness results from the possession or attainment of what one considers good: e.g. the happiness of visiting one's family".

Well...don't we all want to experience that! But too often I speak with clients, friends and family members and there is a real lack of happiness in their current state. I'm sure we can all recall times in our lives where those feelings and emotions have felt like they're at the end of a rainbow; no one is immune to feeling unhappy. It highlights that we need to be proactive about seeking out happiness.

Week 1 & 2 of life with Quinn Olivia

Week 1 & 2 of life with Quinn Olivia

Everyone say's how time flies when babies are young; well the last couple of weeks have surely whizzed by and our little munchkin is 10 days old. Quinn Olivia, born Saturday Nov 28th at 3.28am  after a 4hour labour is just unreal. Unfortunately the best laid plans don't always go smoothly; hence we had a 5 day stay in hospital to treat Quinn for an infection (Strep B).

Down-sizing; time to practice what I preach!

Down-sizing; time to practice what I preach!

So Quinn is 2 weeks old with a divine head of fluffy black hair, skinny wee legs and chubby little chins and cheeks that you want to bury your nose in. As much as I'd love to continue wearing my husbands tshirts and oversized hoodies it's time to take a good look at myself and start my journey back to me. I gained 16kg this pregnancy and so far I have said goodbye to 8 of it. But with 8kg to go, I do need a plan as I just do not like the 'riding up action' of my favourite sporty shorts!

For my last 2 pregnancies I've returned to my usual size within a couple of months and I owe that to establishing good habits early on.
