Health & wellness is a bit like a Rubik’s Cube; a little unpredictable and a constant challenge to juggle the various elements. There’s the physical, your nutrition, mental health, social relationships, restorative health & self-identity. Many people do not have balance. That is where we come in. We help you create it. Toby Morland

Director, Exercise Specialist (BPhEd), Reformer Pilates Master Trainer, Antigravity Instructor, Mindfulness Facilitator
Prior to starting this business in 2014, I was a professional rugby player for over 10 years. When your job is to be as fit and strong as possible with weekly games to challenge your abilities there is a huge pressure to be at your physical and mental prime. This experience has shaped me as a trainer immensely. I am passionate in working with everyday people and athletes to motivate them, manage or prevent injuries, and encourage people to move and function better.
I’m also busy being the best dad ever to my 4 daughters. My daily mission is to teach them as much as I can…but not let them beat me! After rugby I found a new passion for running and love hitting the trails with my mates and Kate.

I wear many hats in the business but my main one is working as a Dietitian with weight & body image concerns, eating disorder recovery, chronic dieting and digestive related health concerns.  I completely reject the diet culture out there and rather incorporate intuitive eating and non-diet approaches to create positive and fulfilling relationships with food.  I have over 15 years of experience as a Dietitian and love what I do. Let me help you or your loved ones.
I also offer Mindfulness coaching where upon listening to your story can help coach you to manage stress, overwhelm and negative emotions better through tools such as discussion, meditation, journaling and reflection. These tools have been a lifesaver for me personally and I thrive off seeing my clients improve their lives also through mindfulness.
Outside of my professional life I’m a mum to 4 young girls and aim to keep things real and practical. I thrive off being fit and strong combining my loves of trail running and reformer pilates.

I have a huge passion for health and fitness, this started from a young age doing competitive triathlon and rowing through school. This has led me to love staying healthy and fit and inspired me to help others do the same. I am a qualified personal trainer and pilates instructor which has always been my dream job. I love helping people to feel confident in their own skin and have fun while doing it. In my spare time you will find me out running or at the gym, walking my dogs or socializing with friends.

My passion for exercise and holistic health came from growing up on an orchard which led me to my studies. I am an enthusiastic and supportive person who loves to encourage others on their journey towards a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. I enjoy helping people feel proud of themselves and their accomplishments. In my spare time, I like keeping active, exploring the outdoors and on a calm sunny day, being out on my paddle board!

Hi I’m Nic! Yoga lover, coffee enthusiast, Mum, and big nature fan. I am driven to be functionally fit and strong for as long as possible, and to help others find enjoyment in movement along the way. I started practicing yoga nearly 10 years ago, and love moving my body and testing what I am capable of in lots of different ways – daily!

After a period of time prioritising travel, I moved to Wellington where I pursued Personal Training through the NZ Institute of Sport in 2020 (while I worked Full Time). Fast Forward to today – I’ve found my way to the Studio Rubix Community after coming back from Maternity Leave and deciding to take action in creating the vibrant life I imagine.

More and more I understand the importance of taking care of our mental health and the role that mindfulness and a balanced approach to the many aspects of life can play. Changing our approach, or starting something new has the potential to be a catalyst for creating, progressing, and achieving goals we mightn’t have even know we had. And in this role, I hope to help people find new ways they can move; feel good in their bodies; and challenge themselves to push beyond all they thought was possible. I can’t wait to get to know the Studio Rubix Community and to hope to see you in class, the studio or on the mat soon!

Hey everyone, I’m Mike and I stoked to be part of the Rubix fam.
My day job is in the tech industry, but I’ve always balanced that with a love for health, fitness and wellbeing. From ultra distance trail running, to hiking and camping in the back country, surfing, bike packing, Pilates and yoga. My particular interest in reformer Pilates started right here back when Kate and Toby opened the studio. Suffering from debilitating low back pain from running too many miles without sufficient core strength, it was a game changer for me. I’ve been an avid student since, and have trained with the Reform team in Auckland and Hearts and Bones in Wellington and have built my own personal studio at home. It perfectly supports the cardio that running provides and weight training that’s so important for men as we age and need to retain our muscle mass.
I love hearing the stories about how Pilates has been so valuable to so many. See you in the studio!

Kia ora, Studio Rubix family.

My name is Matt, I am super pumped to be joining the Studio rubix family. So let me give you a little insight about me and my background.

I have always had a love for health and fitness from playing sport at a high level (cricket mainly) and been lucky enough that it has taken me to many great places around the world. So for me it was no brainer for me to then complete my degree in a bachelor of exercise sport science. Since my completion of my degree I have worked as a Personal trainer for 5 years, where I have had the experience and success with coaching olympic weightlifting, strength and conditioning and rehabilitation. Also  in 5 years I have added plenty strings to my bow such as level1  Australian strength and conditioning, level 1 strength and conditioning coach by the sport and exercise science New Zealand, Level 1 Olympic weightlifting, Level 1 catalyst athletic coach, Altis coach in human performance and biomechanics and an Altis performance therapist.

But don’t let this intimidate you, I am a coffee drinking and dog loving approachable trainer who has a pretty impressive sneaker collection!
