Studio Rubix brings the latest fitness sensation to Palmerston North - Reformer Pilates. Designed for all skill levels, Reformer Pilates is a low impact, whole-body workout that works to strengthen, lengthen and tone your body.  It is great for joint health, general fitness, rehabilitation or a full-on, sweat-dripping workout. Each Reformer Pilates machine can be set to various skill levels, so we can cater just as well for the beginner as we can for the fitness fanatic. It is different to your traditional reformer pilates; our style is challenging, body enhancing, muscle toning, dynamic reformer pilates!

You can choose from 1-1 personal training or group classes in a modern and private setting. Get ready to strengthen, lengthen and tone with Reformer Pilates at Studio Rubix!

Who is it suitable for?

The great thing about Reformer Pilates is that is caters for literally every skill level and fitness need - be that intense training, rehabilitation or your first foray into exercise. Choose from beginners or intermediate level. If you are pregnant or have current injuries please contact us first and we'll advise on your best option.

Transition - Ideal for those new to reformer pilates or exercise, or with current injuries. A little slower pace we’ll concentrate on the foundation exercises and technique to get you comfortable and strong.

Beginners - Don't let the word beginner fool you. We will still challenge you within your abilities with the focus on getting you stronger, balanced, flexible and confident.

Intermediate - These classes involve more dynamic movements with longer holds and exercise sequences. We advise you don't enter these as a newbie.

Advanced - These classes are the pinnacle of reformer designed for our strongest bodies. We expect trembling muscles, grimacing faces, but within a safe and effective class sequence. This class isn't for injuries or newbies.

Cardio – We fuse reformer pilates with the spin bike designed to get your heart pumping and lungs puffing. This is an intermediate class. You must be experienced with the reformer

Pre Post Natal - These classes are designed for pregnancy and new mums from 8 weeks gestation. We strongly recommend you have a 1-1 session first especially if you have any complications

Personal Training - We'll design a reformer workout to your specific goals.

Small Group Training - Make a private booking. Ideal for 8 work mates, team mates or general mates with the same goals or just wanting to exercise together. You must book out a 6 week block for this option.
